Pinocchio

Gloria Bruni composed the opera “Pinocchio” on a book by Ursel Scheffler, an important German author of books for children.
Pinocchio is a work for children aged 6 to 99 years, written with the intention of bringing them closer to listening to the work.
The work has the patronage of the Collodi Foundation.

Symphony No.1 Ringparabel

It is a symphonic poem – almost a work – focusing in particular on the importance of respect between different religions by promoting dialogue and tolerance.
Ringparabel was represented in Hamburg, Istanbul and Minsk.

The Thorn Birds

The musical “The Thorn Birds” is written and based on the best-seller international “The Thorn Birds” by Australian writer Colleen McCullough.
The musical explores different genres from sacred music to pop / rock.
It had the world’s premiere in England in 2008 and was replicated in Germany in 2016.

Requiem a Roma

“Requiem in Rome” is a composition in mass form, written for choir, orchestra and soloists.
The first performance took place in November 2000 (the year of the Jubilee) in the Vatican in the “Sala Nervi” in the presence of Pope John Paul II.
Requiem in Rome was later performed in Italy, Poland, Germany, Austria and Israel.

Glocken Lied

On July 5, 2014 was performed in the church of St. Katharina, one of the most important churches in Hamburg, the “Glockenlied” composition for Choir and Orchestra realized with the original sounds of the bells of the 5 largest churches of Hamburg, St. Michaelis, St. Katharina, St. Nicolai, St. Jacobi, and St. Petri.

Liebertas

Liebertas is a composition for choir and orchestra written for the Weltschal project on Sunday, November 8, 2015 on the Rathausmarkt in Hamburg; this long Weltschal (literally scarf) was knitted by refugee women and represents flags all over the world as a symbol of peace and tolerance.

Katherine Corale

On June 13, 2013, the first Katharinenchorals of Gloria Bruni took place in the church of St. Katharinen as part of the “Katharina feiert” event. The choral was composed based on the words of the Hamburg poet Hans Leip.

Verticated Prayers

It is a cycle of prayers including “Pater Noster” “Ave Maria”, “Salve Regina”, which are part of the liturgy of the Catholic Church.
Salve Regina in particular was written by Gloria Bruni in 2007 for a concert held in Bethlehem, Israel.

Angelo di Dio

Gloria Bruni has always been interested in sacred music and during her studies she played the violin in church concerts.
In December 2013, Gloria Bruni’s aria “Angel of God”, a meditation on Bach’s Air, was premiered as part of a charity event organized by the “Phönikks” Foundation.
